It was great to hang out with friends

Lisa, Bob, Addison and Lucas all made the trip to chicago for the birthday party! It was great to see them and how big the kids are! It was also great to see Julie and the boys who are also getting so big. It is amazing how time flys. I can see changes in Erica already even though she is only 6 weeks old. Mia's first B day

We took Erica to her first birthday party this weekend. It was for Becky's daughter Mia. It is amazing to see how much she has changed this year and to think that Erica will do the same! We had a great time and had lots of adult conversation which is also a plus :) Here are a few of the pics.

Trip to the Zoo

This weekend we went to the Brookfield Zoo for our first family trip of many. It was a great day on friday the weather was perfect. All of the animals were out and active. Even though Erica is only 6 weeks and does not care to see the animals it was great to get out after those many days of 90 degrees. We had a picnic in the grassy area while Erica took a little nap

Weekend 8-11/8-12

I just love taking pictures of Erica, she makes such funny faces especially when she is sleeping but here will be some of her when she is awake. As I look through the pictures of her I already can tell how much she has grown. We weighed her today and she was 8 lbs and 2 oz. When she was born she was 6lbs 10 oz, so she is eating well!. Here are some of the fun pics we took this weekend. We also had visitors from Las Vegas, Aunt Barb, Eileen and Susan. It was great to see them and also for them to meet Erica.

one month pics

We went to the picture people to get Erica's one month pics done. I had everything planned out and we were very excited but we were not expecting what was to come.... Let me tell you I have to learn that I cannot plan anything anymore!! Little Erica was a handful, she had to eat twice in the 45 mins that we were there and then she cried almost the entire time, we only got one good picture. We tried to get a family picture as well but none of them turned out good because she had a poopy face.

The swaddle

Erica loves to be swaddled when she gets tired. We swaddle her up and she seems to be more releaxed and falls asleep.

Here she is with auntie B.we swaddled Erica this day, it was breezy this night and we went to Ken and Kelly's for a fire and some adult conversation. This is such a cute picture with daddy!

Tummy time

She likes tummy time for about 10 mins and then she gets fussy. Erica is getting much stronger though holding up her head nd turning from side to side.

She has a combination here of heat rash since it is only 100 degrees here and baby acne...poor little girl- it is getting better already.

My doggie Ellie

These are pictures Daddy took of me with Ellie. She is a 4 year old yellow lab and she is such a lover!! She loves to give me kisses and always checks on me when I cry. Ellie was a bit jealous when I first came home with mommy and daddy but she knows I am going to be her best friend when I can throw that frisbee!!
