Thanksgiving 2007

We had a great and thankful day this Thanksgiving. We are thankful for so many things but the most important and best of all is that Erica is sharing it with us this year. To Jimmy and I Erica is the best gift of all! We started the day by bringing up the christmas stuff, we then got dressed in our thanksgiving outfit that aunt Kristina gave Erica last Christmas we were so glad, it fit her!

We went to dinner at Melissa's house and then to follow we went to my moms house for desert and some of the greatest stuffing ever!

Erica had to share in the thanksgiving feast, she had sweet potatos! This was the first veggie that we gave her and she seems to really like it! Yeah, the next one will be green beans we will see what happens with that one.

Here is he first bite!

Here is a picture of Brooke she gives such good smiles for the camera!

Lights festival

Last sunday we went to the Bolingbrook Promenade to watch the lights festival, the tree lighting ceremony. It was so cold and then it started to drizzle, we were all bundled up and Erica was toasty warm. Santa made his way to his house and he light the tree! The lights on the tree are choreographed to music though we did not find it to be that great. I think the back speakers were out because we could hardly hear the music.

Here is Erica all bundled up!

Ellie

Ellie seems to get lost in the shuffle, she was our first baby that we loved and nurtured since she was a pup. Since little Erica's arrival Ellie has been playing second fiddle though I think that is true for any pet. She is getting plenty of attention though not what she is used to, she is such a great dog though and very gentle with Erica. Here are a few pics that we took of Ellie.

Ellie loves giving kisses I though this was a funny picture!

Mommy and Me

I am usually the one taking the pictures so there are not many pictures of just mommy and Erica but here are a few that I thought were so cute!

Some of these pictures were taken a couple weeks ago. Here we are sitting outside when the weather was still nice. I love cuddling with her so is so sweet.

Just one of many kisses given in any given minute!

All smiles

Here is a picture from a while back this was a marking the day that Erica wore her first pair of gym shoes...thanks to auntie lois! Of course they don't fit her anymore though they were so cute on her.

John and Brie

Here are some pictures that I took when John and Brie were over at the house. It is so amazing to see how much the kids are changing and growing.

Here is Brie she is stretching sooo big she is exhausted from taking pictures!

Erica eating rice cereal

Little Erica must have been going through a growth spurt last week because she was getting up what seemed to be every 2 hours one night to eat and then the next night she got up every 3 hours. We had pretty much had her on a good schedule prior to this, she was only getting up once per night. So we decided to try the rice cereal earlier than we thought thinking it would help he sleep longer. The first night it did not make a difference- oh well We had fun trying to feed it to her. Of course most of got on her bib or her hands. She is just so cute though!
The first bite!

Four Months

Our little girl is four months old already I cannot believe how fast the time is going by! She did go to her check up appointment, her weight was 12 .5 and her height was just under 24 in. So that brings her to the 25th percentile in both categories. She is going to be a petite girlie! This was a good appointment, the pediatrician said she is doing very well and that we can start to put her in the exersaucer as well as start to try cereal. During the weekend we put together the exersaucer and put her in it. She hated it at first but after some convincing she seemed to like all the fun stuff to look at. It is something different for her to do besides the play mat, tummy time and swing, she is upright on her own exploring new toys. Here is the first pics from the exersaucer and finally a smile!

She is learning how to play on her own for a few mins.

Yeah we finally have a smile

Thats our happy baby! Erica is a great baby, we feel so lucky that we were blessed with her. She is working on so many things like sitting up, rolling over, she talks a lot and of course it is not so quiet either. We can't wait for her many other accomplishments so we can celebrate them with her.

Halloween with friends

Erica's little friends John and Brie came over this past weekend for a visit and we took some pictures of them in their costumes. John was a chili pepper and Brie was a giraffe along with our little butterfly. They all looked so cute and small, next year I doubt we will be able to get them all to sit still together for a picture.

Doesn't John look so warm and comfy!

Halloween 2007

Erica was a butterfly for her first halloween I know everyone is shocked by this choice but she looked so cute. We went out trick or treating with all of the neighbors and while Erica did not collect any candy but she had a good time.

Look at those cute little feet- the booties were so adorable, i though they were foing ot be too big for her but they fit great!

I can't believe that she is getting so big! Here is our family picture while we were tick or treating with the neighbors
