The Great Pumpkin!

We went to the pumpkin patch this past weekend! This was the second annual trip to Bengston's pumpkin farm, we went with Bryan and Vikki. The weather was wonderful and we picked out some good pumpkins for carving.

There was so much for us to do though little Erica is still too little for most activities but she was very alert and looking round the whole time. We went in the haunted barn and at this point she was daddy who said she squeezed his hands a little tighter! Watched the Pig races- daddy got some good pics of those little piggies. Went through the corn maze and also on the hayride. One thing we did not do last year but did this year was go to the petting zoo, we were able to feed the animals carrots. I can't wait to do it again next year when Erica can feed the animals too!

Since going to the Bears game she loves looking at orange so the pumkins as you can imagine were sensory overload for her!

Erica loves facing out in the baby bjorn

Here is where we will measure Erica for the years to follow!

Our family photo on the second annual trip!

Two days before we were there this mommy gave birth to twins! Look at how small they are!

And their off!

Grandma's birthday!

We went to visit grandma for her birthday, we sang happy birthday and had some birthday cake, Erica is defintely liking birthdays!
There are may more birthdays in the next month that we are going to celebrate including grandpas, daddy's 30th, Mom's, aunt amanda, hunter, aunt lois just to name a few! There will be more b day pics soon!

Bears Game

We took Erica to the Bears home opener! What a fan huh, She did awesome- we were a little worried at first but she proved us wrong. We had her in the baby bjiorn facing out and she was so alert looking at everybody as well as all of the orange and blue. We got a pic taken with Staley as well!

She got a little scared when the fly over occurred but after that she settled in, she fell asleep shortly after the game started and didn't budge when the crowd was cheering for the touchdowns!

Here is our little princess getting ready for the big day, naturally she is in a cheerleading outfit!

This was on the long walk from the car to the field, she was looking around and observing everything.

Here is the picture with Staley!

Now I am with Daddy, Mom had to give me her hat to block the sun from getting to my perfectly fair skin.

Visiting Baby Brianna

Amanda and Martin had their baby girl on Sept. 19, 2007 she was 8 lbs. We went to see her when they came home from the hospital, she is so cute and little. I can't beleive that Erica was that small just a few weeks ago. Watching the babies grow is so precious I feel so blessed to be a part of all these little lives.
Here is the new mom and little Brianna

Here is Brianna getting burped after a little meal! She is so alert!

Visiting Baby John

Our friends Kevin and Kristin had their little boy John, he was born on Aug 31, 2007 he was 6 lbs 8 oz. Hear are a few pictures from the hospital and then from Erica and John's first official meeting.

Here are more photos when the baby's met. It will be so much fun when they are able to play and share together. Jimmy and I are so lucky that Erica has so many friends that are so close to her in age. We can't wait to see everyone grow up together

baptism

On sept 8th was Erica Marie's baptism, her Godmother was my sister Valerie and Jimmys best friend Bryan. Erica was so good for the ceremony, she got a little fussy in the middle but she did not mind when the deacon poured the holy water over her head. Afterall, she loves getting her hair washed! It was a beautiful day to have a party! Little Erica let many people hold her and she stayed in her dress for quite some time before I put her in something more comfortable. Here are a few pics from that day!

Two months

Erica is two months old already I cannot believe it! At her 8 week appointment she was 9 lbs 14 oz and 22 inches. I cannot believe the huge jump she has made. I guess she is eating well!!! She has changed so much and is now able to hold her head up for a longer period of time during tummy time. She is giving us such good smiles I love it! She coo's a ton and giggles which sound so precious. I cannot beleive how much she is going to change again in the next two months.

I did start back to work again and it was very tough for mom to drop her off at a daycare. The woman who watches her is Sandy and she lives in naperville she seems great and was referred to us from our neighbor.

Erica is sleeping so well (knock on wood) last night she slept from 945-6am this morning I had to go check on her to make sure everything was ok... She is so perfect I could not have asked for a more precious little girl! Here are a few of her pics we took at two months.

Swimming

On Sept second we took Erica swimming for the first time. We were at a BBQ at a relative's house. They had an inground pool and it was a nice temperature for her first swim. Daddy and Erica went swimming while mommy took pics. Erica did not even seemed phased when she went in the water. She loved it she did lots of smiling and cooing! We had her doing the back float while supporting her head and bouncing.

On Sept 3 we took her swimming at the lisle pool where aunt amanda works. This time it was mommy's turn we did not take pics this time we did the video camera though. The water here was a bit colder than the day before and she did know that it was chilly. Weslowly splashed her with some water to get her used to it and then she was fine. We were in for about 45 mins. Needless to say she slept really well these nights!

This hat was so big on her! But we had to cover her cute little head from the sun!!!

Daddy was holding her head up but she loved just floating in the water

Four generations

There are a few pics from the four generations we have in the family. It is so awesome that we are able to do this and for Erica to spend time with great gram Griffin and Tench as well as Great Aunt Anna. These are the pics below....

The Storm

For a week straight it rained and on top of that there was a tornado in Bolingbrook so we were in the basement for the whole evening one night. We made the most of that evening and took pics with Erica and Ellie!

Here are some pictures of the storm rolling in!

Ellie loves Erica so much. I can't wait for Erica to start crawling after Ellie, she won't know what to do!
