Erica eating rice cereal

Little Erica must have been going through a growth spurt last week because she was getting up what seemed to be every 2 hours one night to eat and then the next night she got up every 3 hours. We had pretty much had her on a good schedule prior to this, she was only getting up once per night. So we decided to try the rice cereal earlier than we thought thinking it would help he sleep longer. The first night it did not make a difference- oh well We had fun trying to feed it to her. Of course most of got on her bib or her hands. She is just so cute though!

Four Months

Our little girl is four months old already I cannot believe how fast the time is going by! She did go to her check up appointment, her weight was 12 .5 and her height was just under 24 in. So that brings her to the 25th percentile in both categories. She is going to be a petite girlie! This was a good appointment, the pediatrician said she is doing very well and that we can start to put her in the exersaucer as well as start to try cereal. During the weekend we put together the exersaucer and put her in it. She hated it at first but after some convincing she seemed to like all the fun stuff to look at. It is something different for her to do besides the play mat, tummy time and swing, she is upright on her own exploring new toys. Here is the first pics from the exersaucer and finally a smile!

Thats our happy baby! Erica is a great baby, we feel so lucky that we were blessed with her. She is working on so many things like sitting up, rolling over, she talks a lot and of course it is not so quiet either. We can't wait for her many other accomplishments so we can celebrate them with her.

Halloween with friends

Erica's little friends John and Brie came over this past weekend for a visit and we took some pictures of them in their costumes. John was a chili pepper and Brie was a giraffe along with our little butterfly. They all looked so cute and small, next year I doubt we will be able to get them all to sit still together for a picture.

Halloween 2007

Erica was a butterfly for her first halloween I know everyone is shocked by this choice but she looked so cute. We went out trick or treating with all of the neighbors and while Erica did not collect any candy but she had a good time.

Look at those cute little feet- the booties were so adorable, i though they were foing ot be too big for her but they fit great!

Erica's first illness

So sorry I have not been up to date with things lately. My little munchkin has been sick, it started wed night - thursday. She was not eating and crying like something was hurting her though we could not figure it out. Fast forward a bit I had to pick her up from the sitter she started vomiting later that afternoon she got a fever- things got pretty scary then for a bit so we took her to the ER. Thank godness I did not wait for the MD appoitment she had a UTI. So she is now on antibiotics and tylenol for her fever though she has not since the weekend. She will have to have some tests run on her like an ultrasound of her kidneys as well as a test to make sure the the urine does not reflux back toward her kidneys. She will need to be sedated for this test so of course mommy and daddy are very worried. Hopefully all will be well! I am glad she is doing better though back to giving tons of smiles and to top of the bad weekend she rolled oer for the first time!! It was awesome we are so proud of her, she was a champ this weekend.

Learning to sit up

Mommy and Daddy work with me on doing tummy time and sitting up. She was sitting by daddy for a bit playing with her keys. My friend Mia let me borrow her BeBe Pod and I like it, it is soft and comfy!

Daddy's 30th birthday

On Oct 4 th was Daddy's 30th birthday! We went to dinner at Traverso's, sand to daddy and had goosey cake for dessert...Yum! Mom and me got daddy an IPOD for his birthday- he was so excited, now he can put many more songs than the one that he had.

On the weekend we had a little gathering of people to celebrate the big event. I got to see both Grandparents and some of my aunts and uncles too! At the end of the night when we were cleaning up mommy smashed the rest of the cake in Daddy's face! I missed it cause I was sleeping but mommy told me it was so funny!
