Aaron

Aaron is doing well- he is still colicky which is difficult to say the least but here are periods now where he is not screaming. He will only sleep in his swing though which is a growing problem- I have come to learn how to sleep on the couch somewhat comfortably. He is getting big he is growing out of the swaddle me and the 0-3months clothes are fitting him very well- not sure for how much longer??? He is holding his head up really well during tummy time or even while being held. Here is a pic of a smile!! and aaron doing tummy time!

xmas lights

We were putting the lights up outside this past weekend and Erica wanted to help. She was trying to hand daddy the lights to put on the bushes. She is such a good helper. She got tired though and needed a rest. She also played chase with Ellie, I think Ellie is coming to realize that they can play together!!

updates

Well things here have been hectic- Aaron is very colicky which has me up a lot at night and then during the day and evening he has periods of crying which is pretty much inconsolable. We try everything to soothe him and it is very difficult to say the least. There are some days where it is not as bad as others and I am thankful for that- it gives me energy to get through the next bad day. As for Aaron he is one month today!! He is over 10 lbs because he was 9 lbs 14 oz over a week ago and he is an eater! Erica is doing well she is getting her molars and I feel so bad for her- her hands (or anything else) is jammed in her mouth - we have brought out the teethers again! It is amazing how smart she is - though stubborn at times as well.
We are having new pics taken on friday- we have not had any new ones in months or Erica and of course we need to update our family pic. Will post soon.

Big sister

Like I have said the past two weeks Erica loves Aaron so much- she lays with him on the play mat and has gotten somewhat better about not laying on him- Yeah!- but she has learned to get his pacifier when he cries, give me a blanket to cover him up and even rub his tummy as she sees me do many times because he is so gassy. We are always running his legs, rubbing his tummy or trying to burp him)

Erica and Aaron at home - Aaron only a few days old.

My favorite of them so far-They look so cute!

Erica

Here are a few new pics of Erica that I thought were so cute! Erica was sitting on her chair reading her book she often sits like this and we finally got a picture of it- So Cute!!

Here was a day a couple weeks ago when it was really chilly out- I bundled her up to go to the park just to get out of the hour for a few mins. She went doen the slides a few times which she loves to do... but here is her giving such a cute smile.

halloween 2008

This Halloween was just a beautiful day, which I was glad about because we took Aaron out in the baby bjorn. This year Erica was a poodle and she looked so cute- she didn't mind wearing the headpiece that came with the costume either ( shocking!!) We met up with some neighbors and our friends Kevin and Kristin with their son John AKA tigger and went around the neighborhood. Towards the end Erica got the point and was walking to the houses where if she could would grab a handful of candy and then try to eat it with the wrapper on, she was very excited. But don't try to take away her candy she would let you know she was upset!.
Here is Erica getting ready!

Trick or Treat

Aaron James Laskey

well as many of you already know Aaron has arrived!! I was induced on 10-20-08 and thank od because he was 8 lbs 11 oz and 20 in long- I could not imagine having a bigger baby- he was more than 2 lbs bigger than Erica was when she was born.
The induction went very quick- the pitocin was started a bit after 8 AM and I started pushing about noon and Aaron was here at 12 23pm. I was not wanting to stay in the hospital till wed afternoon so I was able to get discharged on tuesday we left about 8 30 Pm. I was a rough first night but I am glad we were home. Erica is loving being a big sister- all she wants to do is touch, poke and lay her head on him ( to give him kisses).
